About us

   YWAM South Africa

A bit about YWAM Southern Africa vision: At present we have 34 bases and ministries in Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean islands. The countries in our region: Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, South Africa, Swaziland, Madagascar, Reunion, Seychelles and Mauritius. We have approximately 600 staff in the region, Run 30+ DTS’s many second and third level Schools and train at least 1000 students at our different campuses every year.

   YWAM Southern Africa Regional Vision:

Each base or ministry location is to have a relevant impact on their local community.

We desire to see an YWAM presence in all cities or towns in the Region with a population of 100 000 or more.

We desire to see at least 100 missionaries, representing all cultural groups in Southern Africa, go to another nation by 2015.

We desire to see five million people reached with the gospel by 2020 (meaning that they hear the gospel preached to them at least once, this will happen through our outreaches and ministries).

Our hope is that 10% of those (500 Thousand), make decisions for Christ, and out of the 500 000 we will start 25 000 discipleship groups.

We have pledged to engage and reach 2 unreached unengaged people groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); the Nyanga (population 132 540) and the Seba (population 247 169).

I want to invite you to come and partner with us in the Southern Africa & Indian Ocean Island region and make a difference.
